That’s the experience I’ve wanted to create for you at Shungite Queen.

When I founded this business, my goal wasn’t to simply sell shungite. I wanted to create a trusted place where people could learn about this remarkable stone, ask questions without feeling pressured, and feel confident that they were purchasing authentic shungite from someone who genuinely cares.

I have recently expanded the store’s offerings with the herbal apothecary, supplement dispensary, and a few affiliate products - but my philosophy hasn’t changed.

Sometimes the conversation is about choosing the right bracelet size. Sometimes it’s listening to someone's health concerns long enough to make a recommendation about how they might benefit from frankincense oil. Other times it’s creating a custom jewelry piece that’s exactly what they were hoping to find but couldn’t find anywhere else.

Those conversations aren’t interruptions to my work - they are my work.

One of the greatest joys of running a small business is getting to know the people I serve. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping customers from all over the world, and many have become familiar names in my inbox. Their questions, ideas, and stories continue to inspire me, and I’m deeply grateful that so many of them have shared their experiences in the reviews you’ll find throughout this site.

I also believe that selling a product should never come before sharing knowledge. Looking under the hood is baked into my DNA.

My background in geology first sparked my fascination with shungite and the extraordinary lore around its formation. Later, my education in nursing science magnified by life-long health challenges fueled my interest in health, wellness, and understanding the many factors that contribute to living well.

Together, those experiences shaped the way I approach this business—with curiosity, careful research, and a commitment to helping people make informed decisions.

The Forgotten Art of Customer Service

In this crazy world, it’s easy to automate almost everything. Customer service can be outsourced. Emails can be answered by AI. Products can be shipped by companies that never know your name.

I’ve chosen a different path.

I believe there’s still value in real conversations, personal attention, and treating every customer the way I’d hope to be treated myself.

Remaining a boutique business allows me to focus on quality instead of quantity. It gives me the flexibility to offer custom sizing, create one-of-a-kind pieces, answer questions thoughtfully, and build relationships rather than simply processing orders.

I recently decided to add a chatbot to the site as a means of providing quick, basic information to customers perusing the store. This is not intended to replace personal communication--but as a one-woman business, I needed a little help. It will (hopefully) accentuate my services versus detract from them.

If you want to talk to a human, simply state that and an email comes straight to me. Just like before!
