For nearly a decade, Mike has made all of the lovely wood stands and bowls for Shungite Queen. It's finally time to introduce you to some of his other creations!

Mike has been handcrafting cutting boards, coasters, bottle openers, trivets and other handy items in Olympia, Washington for more than 20 years. 

In fact, before I was Shungite Queen, we met over a cutting board... but that's a story for another day!

He collects discarded wood from local businesses — from builders to door manufacturers — and repurposes it into fabulous household items to be used and loved again.

He uses mahogany, oak, walnut, pine, and whatever else pops up!

I have three of his cutting boards in my kitchen and several of his bottle stoppers. His bottle openers are super cool and make great holiday gifts — once you figure out what they are. Ha!
