That's exactly what these are — made from various hardwoods that have been discarded around the Olympia, Washington area — rescued and upcycled by craftsman Mike Stark.
These charming trivets are short, heat-resistant stands you can place between a hot pan or serving dish and your table/countertop to protect the surface from heat damage.
I've included photos of 3 trivets to show some of the wood variations, but they are all different in terms of wood color patterns. Meaning, you will receive a trivet exactly this size and shape, but the wood patterns will vary.
